Summary: The Network Engineer role involves managing and supporting various firewall and network devices, ensuring compliance with security policies, and optimizing network performance. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams on project deployments and security audits while providing Tier 2/3 support for network incidents. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering and a strong understanding of various networking technologies. Responsibilities also include maintaining documentation and participating in on-call support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support Fortigate Firewalls and FortiManager for centralized firewall policy deployment, logging, and device lifecycle.
  • Implement and maintain Juniper SRX firewalls and switches, including configuration of security policies, zones, and routing.
  • Handle ACL management across various platforms, ensuring correct access control in compliance with security policies.
  • Integrate and manage Cisco ISE for RADIUS authentication, including policies, profiles, and device onboarding.
  • Configure and support Cisco Nexus 7000 series switches, including VLANs, VDCs, vPC, and data center interconnects.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to latency, throughput, and connectivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project deployments, security audits, and compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and processes.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for network-related incidents and requests.
  • Configure, manage, and optimize F5 LTM appliances for load balancing and application delivery.
  • Administer Akamai CDN services for content delivery, caching, and security enhancements.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering.
  • Strong knowledge and operational experience with F5 LTM (Local Traffic Manager).
