Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco network devices, ensuring stable and secure network operations.
- Administer and maintain Firewalls, including rule-set changes, policy updates, and security optimisation.
- Manage and execute a high volume of network changes in line with project timelines and change management processes.
- Collaborate with existing network engineers and project stakeholders to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer working in complex enterprise network environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including configuration and troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with Check Point Firewall administration and security policy management (other vendors are acceptable too).
- Solid understanding of core networking concepts, including routing, switching, TCP/IP, VPNs, and network security principles.
- Ability to manage and implement multiple network changes accurately and efficiently within structured change control processes.
- Ideally CCNP certified or equivalent industry experience.

Description
New contract demand to work with one of our largest UK based clients on a rolling contract basis. They need a new Network Engineer to join the wider team to support with current project demand related to core Cisco Networking, Checkpoint Firewalls and Zscaler. The role will be a rolling 6 month initial contract working on a hybrid basis from the clients office in the Manchester area. They are looking for 2 days per week in the office. This role will also be INSIDE IR35 for reference.
