Summary: The Senior Network Engineer role involves supporting a major network transformation programme for a leading financial services organisation in Manchester, UK. The position requires extensive experience in network engineering, focusing on enterprise networking projects within a regulated banking environment. The engineer will collaborate with global teams to modernise and enhance complex network infrastructure, ensuring secure and compliant data flows. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute enterprise network deployment and migration activities.
- Support application migration across network environments.
- Configure, implement, and support Cisco NX-OS and IOS-XE platforms.
- Deploy and manage firewall technologies including Fortinet, Juniper, and Cisco solutions.
- Ensure secure and compliant data flows across firewalled environments.
- Work closely with project teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
- Troubleshoot complex networking issues and optimise network performance.
- Produce technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.
- Ensure adherence to security, governance, and operational standards.
- Support transition and handover into BAU operations.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of Network Engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in TCP/IP and Ethernet technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco NX-OS and IOS-XE platforms.

- Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and other IGP routing protocols.
