Summary: We are looking for a Network Engineer with active DV clearance to support a critical MOD programme. The role requires hands-on expertise in network engineering, ideally with CCNA certification, and involves working in a secure on-site environment. The successful candidate will deliver secure network solutions for classified systems while collaborating with various teams. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement in Malvern, UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide network engineering support to the Defensive Network Services
- Install, configure, and maintain networking hardware (Routers, Switches, Firewalls)
- Manage routing protocols (eg, OSPF, BGP), VPNs, VLANs, ACLs, and NAT
- Ensure secure network implementation in accordance with MOD standards (eg, JSP 604/440)
- Diagnose and resolve network faults and performance issues
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, network diagrams, and change records
- Collaborate closely with project teams, security teams, and MOD stakeholders
Key Skills:
- Active DV Clearance - must be currently held
- Strong experience as a hands-on Network Engineer
- CCNA certified (or equivalent level); CCNP desirable
- Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco network environments
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, Firewalls, and secure networking practices
- Comfortable working in a high-security MOD setting, fully on-site
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a multi-disciplinary project team
