Summary: The Network Engineer role focuses on the on-site deployment and integration of HPE Aruba switching solutions, specifically ClearPass policy integration, as part of a major infrastructure upgrade project in Luton. Candidates must possess active SC clearance and have hands-on experience with HPE Aruba switches. The position requires participation in out-of-hours work to minimize operational disruption. This contract role is expected to last 3 to 4 months, starting in early July 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-site deployment and replacement of HPE Aruba Switches
- Configure and troubleshoot Aruba ClearPass integration
- Perform physical switch migrations, often in secure zones (eg, customs, immigration)
- Participate in out-of-hours work to minimize operational disruption
- Support structured cabling, port mapping, and network changeovers
- Work closely with project management to ensure milestones are hit
Key Skills:
- SC clearance (active) is mandatory due to site sensitivity
- Strong hands-on experience with HPE Aruba Switches (eg, 2930, 5406)
- Demonstrated experience with Aruba ClearPass for authentication and NAC
- Proven background in network refresh or migration projects
- Ability to work flexibly
- Comfortable with high-security and controlled-access work environments
- Strong documentation and communication skills

A major infrastructure upgrade project is kicking off in early July, involving a full switch refresh at a critical UK site. We're looking for multiple experienced Network Engineers to join the delivery team for the on-the-ground implementation of HPE Aruba switching solutions, including ClearPass policy integration.
This is a high-impact, hands-on opportunity within a secure and sensitive operational environment. You'll be working under a dedicated PM provided by the project's lead partner and collaborating with a small team of contractors to execute the phased refresh.
