The Role
As a Customer Site-Based Network Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Installing and commissioning enterprise Wi-Fi access points
Conducting Wi-Fi surveys using supplied survey equipment and software
Installing and supporting structured cabling infrastructure
Configuring and troubleshooting Aruba wireless solutions
Diagnosing network issues and working alongside the help desk to resolve technical faults
Providing a professional on-site service while working independently across customer locations
Maintaining high standards of documentation and customer communication throughout each project
What We're Looking For
We're interested in engineers with experience in:
Enterprise Wi-Fi deployments
Aruba wireless technologies, including Aruba Central Wireless access points, controllers and network switching
Structured cabling installation
Basic network fault finding and troubleshooting
Wi-Fi surveying and wireless optimisation
Delivering excellent customer service in client-facing environments
You'll also be:
A confident communicator with a professional manner
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Organised, reliable and able to manage your own workload
Happy travelling between customer sites across London
Working Pattern
Approximately 3 days per week
Working days will vary depending on project schedules (typically no BAU work on Fridays)
Primarily based across approximately 12 customer sites throughout London
Occasional opportunities to work at sites in Manchester or the Cotswolds (not a requirement)
Some evening, overnight or weekend work may be required to minimise customer disruption
Additional Information
3-month rolling contract
Expected duration of 6-9 months, with a strong possibility of extension
25% uplift for approved out-of-hours work (Monday-Friday 8:00pm-7:00am and from 8:00pm Friday until 7:00am Monday)
Work is carried out within private members' clubs and other high-profile customer environments
Successful applicants will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) due to the nature of the sites
