Summary: The Senior Network Engineer role focuses on designing, deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Juniper-based network solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls (MX, EX, SRX series)
- Implement and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VPN solutions
- Monitor network performance and perform tuning to ensure optimal efficiency
- Ensure network security through policies, firewall rules, and regular audits
- Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and regular system maintenance
- Provide Tier 2/3 support and troubleshooting for escalated network issues
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture and configurations
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors
Key Skills:
- Proven experience with Juniper networks
- Strong hands-on experience with Junos OS
- Solid understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP, MPLS)
- Experience with network security, firewall configurations, and VPNs
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- MUST be JNCIP or JNCIE certified
