Summary: The Network Engineer (NE) role focuses on coordinating with various stakeholders to implement and verify network solutions according to design specifications. The position involves migrating existing infrastructure to SD-WAN and managing multi-OEM technologies while ensuring compliance with security and performance standards. The engineer will also troubleshoot technical issues and perform necessary upgrades and configurations on networking hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Design Engineers, Project Managers, and Field Technicians for implementation tasks.
- Verify implementations against the Implementation Design document and SOPs.
- Migrate existing infrastructure to SD-WAN and manage multi-OEM SD-WAN migrations.
- Perform software upgrades and hardware refreshes for LAN/WAN/WLAN.
- Understand and work with multi-OEM SD-WAN technologies and hardware interfaces.
- Handle routing, switching, and wireless deployments and activations.
- Resolve technical issues related to networks, hardware, and software.
- Conduct speed and security tests on installed networks.
- Protect customer proprietary network information and project assets.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, networking administration, information technology, or a similar field.
- 9 to 10 years of experience as a network engineer.
- Hands-on experience with Meraki devices (Router/Switch/Access Point).
- Knowledge of multi-OEM SD-WAN technologies (Viptela, Versa, Silver Peak, Palo Alto).
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, SD-WAN, or Wireless certifications.
- Good understanding of routing and switching protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF).
- Excellent understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
