Summary: The role of Network Engineer involves providing essential BAU support and ensuring network stability within a live healthcare environment for an NHS organization in West Yorkshire. The position requires immediate availability and focuses on maintaining high performance across the network estate. The engineer will work closely with internal teams and third-party suppliers to resolve network incidents efficiently. This contract role offers a mix of on-site and remote working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day BAU support across the network estate ensuring high availability and performance
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve network incidents and service requests
  • Support configuration, maintenance and optimisation of Cisco Meraki environments
  • Assist with patching, upgrades and general network housekeeping
  • Work closely with internal IT teams and third party suppliers to resolve issues efficiently
  • Maintain documentation and adhere to NHS governance and security standards

Key Skills:

  • Strong hands on networking experience in enterprise environments
  • Proven experience with Cisco Meraki technologies
  • Solid understanding of LAN WAN networking, routing and switching
  • Experience supporting BAU operations in a live service environment
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues quickly and effectively

We are supporting an NHS organisation in West Yorkshire with the recruitment of an experienced Network Engineer for an immediate start contract. This role will focus primarily on BAU support and network stability across a live healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day BAU support across the network estate ensuring high availability and performance
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve network incidents and service requests
  • Support configuration, maintenance and optimisation of Cisco Meraki environments
  • Assist with patching, upgrades and general network housekeeping
  • Work closely with internal IT teams and third party suppliers to resolve issues efficiently
  • Maintain documentation and adhere to NHS governance and security standards

Required Experience

  • Strong hands on networking experience in enterprise environments
