Summary: The Network Engineer role is a 3-month contract position requiring advanced expertise in Checkpoint, Cisco DNA, and Cisco ACI firewalls. Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize Cisco DNA for troubleshooting, support, and issue resolution.
- Apply Cisco ACI knowledge for troubleshooting and support.
- Understand and work with firewalls, such as Checkpoint or ASA.
- Provide strong support for DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
- Demonstrate technical expertise in Cisco switching and routing.
- Support BAU operational concerns related to DNA and ACI.
- Travel to site as required.
Key Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco DNA and ACI.
- Experience with Checkpoint or ASA firewalls.
- Strong understanding of DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
- Technical expertise in Cisco switching and routing.

The Network Engineer would possess advanced or high-level expertise in Checkpoint, Cisco DNA, and Cisco ACI firewalls. An understanding of the support and troubleshooting aspects of ACI and DNA is crucial for the network engineer, and any deployment or installation experience is advantageous. Understanding BAU/Operational concerns with DNA and ACI is essential for the network engineer.
Responsibilities and Technologies of the Network Engineer:
- Cisco DNA experience is required - High level or advanced in order to troubleshoot, support, and fix issues.
- Cisco ACI experience is Preferred - High level or advanced in order to troubleshoot, support, and fix issues.
- A working understanding of firewalls, such as Checkpoint or ASA, would be advantageous.
- Strong experience with DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP
- Solid technical expertise in Cisco switching and routing, including BAU support.
- Relevant Network Certifications are beneficial (CCNP, CCNA etc)
- Ad hoc travel to site when required
The customer is based near Goole and Doncaster. The Network Engineer is ideally required to work 1/2 days a week onsite.
