Network Engineer

Summary: The Network Engineer role involves driving the design, implementation, and optimization of Cisco's technology solutions for customer projects. The position requires collaboration with customers and internal teams to ensure successful deployment and integration of services, while also providing technical support and training. The engineer will also contribute to the development of best practices and documentation, ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes. This role demands a strong understanding of networking protocols and the ability to communicate technical solutions effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive technology design, implementation, execution, and optimization for customer projects/accounts.
• Work with customers to plan, design, configure, and diagnose Cisco’s suite of products.
• Assist customers with integration and implementation of tools, systems, and service assurance.
• Support presale activities and translate business requirements into solution design.
• Create and deliver customer collateral, portals, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
• Align technical deliverables to customer business outcomes and drive technology transitions.
• Collaborate with internal and external resources on strategy, deployment, and optimization of Cisco services.
• Capture and contribute to new implementation techniques and methodologies.
• Create and review project deliverables such as design recommendations and implementation plans.
• Leverage software skills to configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cisco products.
• Act as an initial focal point for problem resolution for assigned customer engagements.
• Collaborate with other Consulting Engineers to ensure optimal resource use.

Key Skills:

• Knowledge of customer verticals/industry.
• Experience with Routing and Switching protocols.
• Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP protocols and Network Design Principles.
• Ability to communicate technical solutions and write technical documents.
• Problem-solving skills in network issues and customer handling.
• Experience in Enterprise solutions (SDA, DNAC, SDWAN) is desired.
• Cisco certification (CCIE preferred) is a plus.
• Knowledge of other networking technologies and scripting is a plus.
• Fluency in English; French is a nice to have.
• Availability to travel within EMEA.
