Your responsibilities as a Network Engineer:
- Create and implement plans based on standard design templates for project delivery within approved timescales and budgets.
- Plan and deliver upgrades to LAN, WAN, Firewall, and WLAN services in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Prepare documentation to support project delivery activities, including data-gathering and discovery of existing network services and solutions.
- Create, maintain, and update standards required by the Infrastructure Engineering and wider teams.
- Develop operational handover documentation for colleagues in Operations groups.
- Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving in Network and Firewall estates.
As a suitable Network Engineer, you will have:
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in L2/L3 networking protocols and TCP/IP.
- Understanding of security technologies (Firewalls, IPS, IPSec VPN).
- Hands-on experience with WAN migrations using Meraki MX.
- Experience with Cisco networking solutions and Meraki equipment.
- Knowledge of Cisco FTD Firewalls and FMC management.
- Network Security planning and deployment.
- Experience with Scripting/automation tools for network devices.
- Operational support for Network, Firewall, and Security services.
- Knowledge of IPSec, MPLS, and WAN routing policies.
