Summary: The Network Engineer role in Darlington, UK, involves supporting networking projects and managing physical network infrastructure across various environments, including manufacturing and office locations. Key Responsibilities:
- Support networking projects and changes from an infrastructure perspective.
- Manage physical network infrastructure at manufacturing and office locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user hardware/workstation problems.
- Assist with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Cisco IOS LAN Switches.
- Coordinate installation and repair of voice and data cabling.
- Provide assistance in identifying and documenting processes and procedures.
- Act as a focal point for data centre networking problem resolution for Cisco Equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on workstations and install software on client systems.
- Support installation and testing of RF Scanners and label printers.
- Conduct root cause analysis of common/major network problems.

Act as a focal point for mission critical data centre networking problem resolution for Cisco Equipment, including virtual switches, VLAN, Spanning Tree. Break/fix hardware and software support, including troubleshooting at the desktop for problem determination Perform preventative maintenance on all workstations Installing software on the client systems. Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems Coordinate with third-party vendors to resolve hardware problems, as required Install and test replacement parts Knowledge and Experience in the Configuration, Setup and Support of RF Scanners Printing support – Zebra Printers, and other Label printers.
