Summary: The Network Engineer role is a 6-month contract position based in Coventry, requiring expertise in managing decommissioning projects and implementing new systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring and deploying network solutions, particularly with Cisco, Palo Alto, and F5 technologies. This position demands collaboration within an Agile environment and adherence to ITIL processes. The role is classified as inside IR35, indicating the need for compliance with tax regulations for contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the Cisco ACI decommissioning and the implementation of the new Palo Alto system
• Configure and implement F5 Load Balancing solutions
• Assist with the deployment of new services and follow process documentation
• Tracking services and change requests in ServiceNow and Jira
• Contribute to the decommissioning of services and projects
• Collaborate with the network team and portfolio team in an Agile environment

Key Skills:

• CCNP level certification or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of network technologies, including Cisco, Palo Alto, and F5
• F5 BigIP load balancing devices
• F5 WAF administration
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and change controls
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Understanding of network architecture supporting infrastructure and software design principles
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional team
• Knowledge of Checkpoint/ASA Firewalls, SD-Wan

Salary (Rate): £500 daily
