Summary: The Network Engineer will join an electronic trading company on a 12-month contract to support the implementation of network architecture during a data center migration. This role involves troubleshooting connectivity issues and providing technical support to first and second line teams in a high-frequency trading environment. The position requires hands-on expertise in network infrastructure and low latency systems. The role is based on-site in London with a competitive day rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement & manage network architecture during data center migration.
• Act as a point of escalation for connectivity issues for 1st & 2nd line support teams.
• Troubleshoot & resolve network-related issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems.
• Maintain & update network documentation & diagrams.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role in a low latency, high-frequency trading environment.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco & Arista routing, Checkpoint, & firewall technologies.
• Experience with network management tools such as SNMP & SolarWinds.
• Scripting & automation experience with Python, Perl, or Bash.
• Excellent troubleshooting & problem-solving skills.
