Summary: A Network Engineer is needed for a public sector client in Bradford, requiring solid networking experience and a collaborative approach to support critical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support for LAN/WAN infrastructure across multiple sites
  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Switches and Routers
  • Assist with Firewall rule changes and basic policy management (Palo Alto or similar)
  • Support VPN and remote access solutions
  • Monitor network performance and respond to alerts using tools like SolarWinds or PRTG
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and changes
  • Participate in change and incident management processes

Key Skills:

  • Experience in network support or engineering roles
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, and network diagnostics
  • Experience with Cisco networking equipment (CCNA-level knowledge)
  • Exposure to Palo Alto Firewalls and/or Cisco ISE to implement wired and wireless network access control and micro segmentation
  • Experience with Fibre and copper cable management (datacentre clean ups)
  • Familiarity with NAC solutions and enterprise network security practices
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

A Network Engineer is required for our public sector client who are based in Bradford. The successful candidate will bring solid networking experience and a collaborative approach to supporting critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Provide hands-on support for LAN/WAN infrastructure across multiple sites
