Summary: The Network Engineer role is focused on designing, configuring, and maintaining secure network infrastructure within enterprise environments. This is a full onsite position based in Barrow-In-Furness for a duration of 4 months. The role is classified as inside IR35 with a daily rate of £463.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and manage Cisco switches, routers, and network devices.
- Implement and maintain Palo Alto firewalls and security policies.
- Design and configure VLANs and stretched VLANs for multi-site connectivity.
- Deploy and manage Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) for data center networking.
- Troubleshoot network issues and optimize performance.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with architecture and security teams to deliver robust solutions.
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies.
- Proficiency in Palo Alto firewall configuration and management.
- Expertise in switch configuration, VLAN design, and stretched VLANs.
- Knowledge of Cisco ACI architecture and deployment.
