Key Responsibilities:
- Support, configure, and maintain enterprise network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud-based network services.
- Monitor network performance, perform diagnostics, and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
- Assist in the design and implementation of secure, scalable network solutions aligned with business and security requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve network incidents and support ongoing business initiatives.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, and incident resolutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to network-related incidents and outages.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer within an investment banking or financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network security principles.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco switching and Meraki wireless technologies.
- Experience with SASE / Zero Trust security platforms, preferably Zscaler; experience with Cloudflare Zero Trust, Palo Alto Prisma Access, or Netskope is also highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and resolve incidents efficiently.
- Hands-on experience managing and supporting Palo Alto firewalls.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a collaborative team.
