Summary: We are looking for a DV Cleared Network Engineer to support a critical defence project in Bristol. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructure in high-assurance environments. The position requires hands-on experience with Cisco technologies and a strong understanding of network protocols. This is a 6-month contract with an immediate start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco network infrastructure (Routers, Switches, Firewalls).
- Implement and optimize Cisco-based LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN solutions.
- Design secure network architectures in line with MOD/Defence standards.
- Conduct network upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and resilience.
Key Skills:
- Active DV Clearance (mandatory).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst/Nexus Switches.
- In-depth knowledge of core protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, HSRP, VRRP.
- Experience with Cisco VPNs.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, etc.).
