Summary: Network Engineer needed for a 6-month contract, requiring strong expertise in Cisco and Juniper technologies. The role demands a deep understanding of network protocols and hardware, along with practical experience in network automation and firmware management. The position is hybrid, requiring three days a week in the office located in central London. The role is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize strong experience with Cisco and Juniper technologies.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of network protocols, including IP, BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
- Manage network hardware internals, including forwarding, filtering, and policing mechanisms.
- Understand application protocols such as DNS, IPSEC, HTTPS, and TLS.
- Handle network device firmware management in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Develop network automation tools in at least one programming language (Python, Perl, C++, Bash, etc.).
- Understand authentication mechanisms including PKI.
Key Skills:
- CCNP certification required; JNCIA/JNCIS certification preferred.
- Strong experience with Cisco and Juniper.
- Deep understanding of network protocols and hardware.
- Practical experience in network automation and firmware management.
- Experience in developing automation tools in programming languages.
- Understanding of authentication mechanisms.

- Practical experience in network device firmware management in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Experience developing network automation tools in at least one language (Python, Perl, C++, Bash, etc.).
- Experience with and understanding authentication mechanisms including PKI.
Inside IR35 Hybrid contract. 3 days per week office based in central London is essential.
