Summary: The Network Engineer (Cisco) role is a hybrid position based in Leeds, requiring expertise in Cisco technologies for a long-term program. The position is initially a 4-month contract, focusing on network security and automation. Candidates with high-level security clearance are preferred, and successful applicants will need to obtain security clearance prior to appointment. This role offers an opportunity to work with a blue-chip client on significant projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) using Firepower Management Console (FMC).
- Management of network security and policy enforcement using Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
- Daily configuration, administration, patching, upgrading, and automation of networks with Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center).
- Utilization of industry-standard tools for diagnosing, isolating, and resolving network and security issues.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience with Cisco technologies, including NGFW, ISE, and DNA Center.
- Strong troubleshooting methodologies and hands-on experience with relevant tools.
- Experience in network security and policy management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
