Network Engineer - background in IP Networking, including CCNA-level knowledge, WAN, LAN, and MPLS

Summary: The Network Engineer role focuses on creating and maintaining technical documentation, installing and configuring network equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The position requires a strong background in IP networking and hands-on experience with specific technologies. Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain technical documentation and ensure customer networks are documented as part of project handovers
• Install, configure, fault find, report and maintain Routers, Switches and Firewalls
• Completion of site surveys to enable installation
• Rack, charger and telecoms equipment installation and commissioning to an excellent standard
• Create Health and Safety documentation such as RAMS, POWRA to ensure H&S measures are adhered to.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and system environments.
• Strong background in IP Networking, including CCNA-level knowledge, WAN, LAN, and MPLS.
• Hands-on experience with Nokia platforms, including Nokia SAR-H and Nokia NFM-P.
• Excellent understanding of routing, switching, and data networking principles.
• Experience working with XTran technology.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Visio for network and technical diagramming.
