Network Engineer - Arista Specialist

Summary: The Network Engineer - Arista Specialist role involves designing, implementing, and supporting high-performance networks using Arista network solutions within enterprise and data centre environments. The position requires hands-on experience with Arista EOS, CloudVision, and modern network protocols such as BGP, EVPN, and Multicast. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams to ensure network stability and compliance while automating network tasks. This is a long-term contract position based in London with hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain Arista-based network infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot BGP and EVPN routing across Layer 2/3 networks.
• Support Multicast configurations for Real Time traffic distribution (PIM, IGMP).
• Leverage Arista CloudVision for centralised network management, telemetry, and automation.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, and DevOps teams to ensure network stability, scalability, and compliance.
• Automate network tasks using tools like Ansible or Python (desirable).
• Perform regular network maintenance, upgrades, and incident response.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience working with Arista EOS switches in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, EVPN (VXLAN), and Multicast routing protocols.
• Hands-on experience with CloudVision for config management and monitoring.
• Deep understanding of Layer 2/3 networking principles and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with network automation and Scripting tools (eg, Python, Ansible) is a plus.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
