Summary: The Network Deskside Support Engineer will be part of the 2nd Line IT Newark Deskside Support team in Nottingham, UK, providing support to 1000 users. This role focuses on the build and deployment of computers for the rollout of Windows 11, ensuring high-quality IT service support. The engineer will also manage incidents, support hardware and software, and collaborate with various teams to enhance IT operations. The position requires strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to IT support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd Line IT Support for hardware and software to HP and Microsoft workstations.
- Image and configure Windows 11 operating system to user specifications.
- Escalate issues beyond technical capability to optimize service quality.
- Build laptops, log failures, and liaise with the Build team to resolve issues.
- Follow procurement and asset management procedures for IT equipment.
- Identify and participate in initiatives to improve IT operational service quality.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key staff and managers.
- Manage assigned IT incidents effectively with users, engineers, and managers.
- Provide project support for IT and other company initiatives.
- Organize and manage business deployments with multiple concurrent workstreams.

Work as part of the 2nd Line IT Newark Deskside Support team to provide support to 1000 users in delivering and maintaining a best of breed IT Service function
This person will work in a proactive and cooperative manner to ensure that the responsiveness effectiveness and quality of the IT Service support service is industry leading
This role is to support the build and deployment of computers to roll out Windows 11 to the Client corporate colleagues
Provide 1st2nd Line IT Support of hardware and software to a variety of HP and Microsoft workstations
Image and configure Windows 11 operating system to user specifications
Escalate issues which are beyond their technical capability or resource capacity in an effective manner to optimise the quality of service provided to the business

Have some experience of providing IT support in a similar role project
Have confidence working with technologies such as Windows 7810 SCCM and Office 365
