Summary: The Network Designer role involves leading the design of core network and WiFi solutions for the UK's largest Public WiFi network. The position requires expertise in IP networking and Cisco technologies, with responsibilities spanning the full project lifecycle in a fast-paced DevOps environment. Candidates should be prepared to support cloud migrations and deliver scalable, secure solutions. This is a contract position based in London with an urgent hiring process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead core network and WiFi design for a large-scale Public WiFi network.
- Support cloud migrations and deliver scalable, secure solutions.
- Involve in the full lifecycle from design and testing to deployment and support.
- Utilize technologies including Cisco IOS-XR, IOS-XE, firewalls, WiFi 7, cloud infrastructure, and load balancing (F5).
Key Skills:
- Strong IP networking knowledge (CCNA or higher).
- Experience designing Cisco networks.
- Knowledge of firewalls/IPSec, DNS, DHCP.
- Bonus: Experience with WiFi controllers (Meraki/Cisco WLC) and F5 load balancers.
