Network & Cyber Security Consultant

Summary: The Network & Cyber Security Consultant role involves supporting products within the Digital Edge and Cyber Security offerings, focusing on securing and optimizing banking infrastructure. The position requires a strong understanding of networking and cybersecurity principles, with a hybrid working arrangement based in Bristol or Halifax. Candidates with varying levels of experience are considered, with specific daily rates based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support products within the Digital Edge & Cyber Security Product Offerings.
• Implement CDN to secure and optimize banking infrastructure.
• Manage SSL Handshake and EDGE load implementation for Web Apps.
• Understand and apply networking and cybersecurity principles.
• Analyze attack vectors and methods, including DDoS and SQL injection.
• Utilize threat intelligence and manage data and traffic reporting.
• Implement Zero Trust Architecture and load balancing strategies.
• Work with cloud infrastructure and content delivery networks.

Key Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in networking and cybersecurity.
• Understanding of DNS Resolution, HTTP/S methods, and TCP handshake.
• Knowledge of OSI Model and communications framework.
• Familiarity with attack vectors and methods such as DDoS and SQL injection.
• Experience with certificates, TLS encryption, and caching on edge.
• Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and ACLs.
• Experience with threat intelligence and SIEM data reporting.
• Understanding of proxies and reverse proxies for ingress/egress management.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and edge computing.

Salary (Rate): £350 daily
