Network & Cyber Security Consultant

Summary: The Network & Cyber Security Consultant role involves providing expertise in securing and optimizing banking infrastructure through various digital edge and cybersecurity products. The position requires a strong understanding of networking and cybersecurity principles, with a focus on technologies such as CDN, SSL, and threat intelligence. The consultant will work in a hybrid mode, spending two days a week at the client location. Candidates with varying levels of experience will be considered, with corresponding daily rates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support products within the Digital Edge & Cyber Security Product Offerings.
• Implement CDN to secure and optimize banking infrastructure.
• Manage SSL Handshake and EDGE load implementation for Web Apps.
• Understand and apply networking and cybersecurity principles.
• Analyze attack vectors and methods, including DDoS and SQL injection.
• Utilize threat intelligence and SIEM data for traffic reporting.
• Implement Zero Trust Architecture and load balancing strategies.
• Manage proxies and reverse proxies for ingress/egress traffic.
• Work with cloud infrastructure and related technologies.

Key Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in networking and cybersecurity.
• Understanding of DNS Resolution, HTTP/S methods, and TCP handshake.
• Knowledge of OSI Model and communications framework.
• Experience with attack vectors and methods such as DDoS and SQL injection.
• Familiarity with certificates, TLS encryption, and caching on edge.
• Proficient in Content Delivery Network and Edge Computing.
• Understanding of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and ACLs.
• Experience with threat intelligence and traffic reporting.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure.

Salary (Rate): £350 daily
