Network Control Technician

Summary: The Network Control Technician role involves managing event alerts and system performance using tools like BigPanda, Splunk, and Datadog. The technician will engage in customer service operations, utilizing ChatOps through Slack, and assist with user account management and security tasks. The position is a full-time contract for six months with potential for extension, requiring hybrid working arrangements. The role is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage event alerts using BigPanda and troubleshoot issues with Runbooks and SOPs.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ChatOps through Slack, coordinating resources and engaging with customers.
• Assist with user account management and basic security tasks, including password unlocks and ticket creation.
• Collaborate with customer service representatives and engineers to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Utilize ITIL practices in Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.

Key Skills:

• Experience with ChatOps (Slack) for customer engagement.
• Customer service skills, working with various levels of technical staff.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Confluence, and JIRA.
• Knowledge of IP concepts and subnetting.
• Light experience with Active Directory.
• Basic security knowledge for user support.
• Proficiency in Office 365 applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
