Summary: The Network Control Technician role is a contract position focused on managing event alerts and troubleshooting within a gaming technology company. The technician will utilize tools like BigPanda and have a foundational understanding of system performance monitoring with Splunk and Datadog. The position requires collaboration with customer service representatives and engineers to ensure effective communication and issue resolution. This role is hybrid, requiring two days on-site per week in Liverpool.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage event alerts using systems like BigPanda and troubleshoot issues with Runbooks and SOPs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in ChatOps through Slack for communication and resource coordination.
  • Assist with user account management and basic security tasks, including password unlocks and ticket creation guidance.
  • Collaborate with customer service representatives and engineers to ensure seamless customer service.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with ChatOps (Slack) for creating channels and coordinating resources.
  • Customer service experience working with representatives and engineers.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow, Confluence, and JIRA.
  • Understanding of IP concepts and subnetting.
  • Light experience with Active Directory and basic security tasks.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Basic knowledge of event management systems and troubleshooting.
  • ITIL knowledge and experience with Splunk and Datadog.
  • Understanding of API concepts and applications.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience and a degree from a four-year college.
