Summary: The role of Network Consultant requires an SC Cleared professional with extensive experience in data centre networking and enterprise network operations. The consultant will provide operational support, manage technical issues, and ensure the performance and security of network services. This position is based in Central London on a fixed-term contract, with a hybrid working arrangement of two days onsite. The salary for this role is £90,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality operational support for enterprise network services.
  • Resolve complex technical issues and ensure network stability and security.
  • Manage incident, request, and problem management processes.
  • Conduct risk management, audit, and compliance activities.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.

Key Skills:

  • High level of technical expertise in data centre networking.
  • Deep knowledge of Cisco ACI SDN and MSO across development and operations.
  • Certification to CCNP level or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with traditional Cisco networking & security appliances (Nexus, Catalyst, ACI, Firepower/ASA).
  • High-level expertise in at least three of the following: Cisco ACI, Wireless networking, F5 load balancing (BigIP, BigIQ), Cisco campus networking, Firewalls (Checkpoint, Cisco Firepower) & flow analysers (Algosec), Infoblox Suite (IPAM, DNS, DHCP), Network monitoring/management tools (Entuity, PRTG, Prime).
  • Software Defined Networking, automation tooling (Ansible), and Scripting experience.
  • Strong understanding of best practice for enterprise service delivery.
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven mindset with strong ownership of delivered services.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and think clearly in challenging situations.
  • Strong customer focus and excellent stakeholder communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ITIL (ITIL v3 Foundation preferred).

Our client is seeking a highly skilled SC Cleared Network Consultant with deep expertise in data centre networking and enterprise network operations. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality operational support, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring the stability, security and performance of enterprise network services.

You will work across incident, request and problem management processes, manage risks, audit and compliance activities, and contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity procedures. The ideal candidate will bring a detail-oriented, innovative mindset with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a customer-focused approach.
