Summary: The Network Architect role at Summer-Browning Associates involves supporting a central government client for an initial six-month assignment with potential for extension. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop network architectural strategies for cyber security, cloud services, data centres, and storage solutions.
- Produce Low-Level Design (LLD) and High-Level Design (HLD) for Cisco network design.
- Deliver effective network security solutions utilizing firewalls such as Palo Alto, FortiGate, and Cisco Virtual Security Gateway.
- Design, configure, and maintain F5 load balancers.
- Understand security principles from NCSC, GDS, Secure by Design, and NIST.
- Apply knowledge of UK government technology strategies and policies.
Key Skills:

The ideal candidate will hold an active security clearance and possess a strong background in Network Architecture, with the following skills and experience:
- Experience developing network architectural strategies for cyber security, cloud services, data centres, and storage solutions, working in public sector or defence-secure environments.
- Extensive knowledge in both Low-Level Design (LLD) and High-Level Design (HLD) for Cisco network design, demonstrating proficiency across a diverse array of technologies, including IP routing and switching, network virtualisation, LAN, WAN, cloud, and data centre solutions.
- Significant experience in delivering effective network security solutions utilising firewalls, specifically Palo Alto, FortiGate, and Cisco Virtual Security Gateway.
