Summary: The Network Architect role involves supporting a major government body in delivering and managing national security capabilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery and management of national security capabilities.
- Collaborate with customers, engineering, and development teams.
- Maintain key business relationships within government and capability.
- Provide technical inputs and governance.
- Create technical and architectural documents, including options assessments and designs.
- Manage requirements and ownership of deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with auditing and security product configurations.
Key Skills:
- Excellent people skills and ability to explain technical complexity.
- Experience in enterprise and virtual environments within secure settings.
- Networking architecture expertise, including topology, wireless, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Experience with VPN configuration and public cloud connectivity.
- Knowledge of NCSC, GDS, CIS, Cyber Essentials, and NIST IT security principles.
- Experience in UK government technology strategies and policies.
- IT Technical qualifications or equivalent experience.
- TOGAF or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of public cloud offerings.

- Experience creating technical and architectural documents such as options assessments, low and high-level technical designs.
- Experience of requirements management and ownership of deliverables.
- Working knowledge of auditing and security products configuration.
