Summary: The Network Architect role is focused on developing and implementing a long-term infrastructure strategy for a leading financial services organization, particularly during a major integration program across EMEA. The position requires expertise in network architecture and design, ensuring compliance with legal and security standards. The architect will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver effective network solutions. This role is critical for shaping the future-state network architecture to meet performance and resilience requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop future-state network architectures and designs to support the consolidation of infrastructures into a unified EMEA network.
  • Ensure solutions meet legal, compliance, and security standards.
  • Implement network segmentation, IP rationalisation, and improved network management practices.
  • Work closely with internal network and infrastructure teams to align design, planning, and delivery.
  • Partner with key technology vendors to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and future-proof.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to senior stakeholders, ensuring strategic goals are met.
  • Create and execute implementation roadmaps, ensuring outcomes are achieved within agreed budgets and risk appetite.
  • Manage technical dependencies across teams to minimise disruption and ensure smooth integration.
  • Oversee technical delivery and handover into operations.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience working within investment banking or capital markets environments, with an understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations.
  • Proven track record in network architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Cisco networking technologies (routing, switching, firewalls, segmentation).
  • Experience with large-scale network consolidation and rationalisation programmes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical strategies into actionable plans.
  • Collaborative approach to working with internal teams and external vendors.
