Summary: A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy is seeking a NetBackup Engineer to assist with the relocation of Veritas NetBackup infrastructure during the May Bank holiday weekends at a Data Centre in Romford. The role requires a Veritas-certified engineer to ensure a smooth transition and minimize risks during the lift-and-shift activity. Key responsibilities include managing cabling and providing assistance with hardware errors. The position is critical for maintaining operational integrity during the scheduled work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cabling between the storage shelf and the appliance, ensuring proper power-up of both components.
  • Provide assistance in case of any hardware errors during the activity.
  • Coordinate with the Data Centre management team for rack and stack activities.

Key Skills:

  • Veritas NetBackup 9.1 and NetBackup Appliance 4.1 Administration.
  • Veritas certification.
  • Experience in IT infrastructure and services.

Salary (Rate): £70.00/hr

A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy are looking for a NetBackup Engineer to support scheduled work for a customer over the May Bank holiday weekends, based at a Data Centre in Romford. A NetBackup Engineer to relocate Veritas NetBackup infrastructure (Production and DR kits)within the Data Centre To ensure a smooth transition and minimise risk a Veritas-certified engineer is required onsite during the lift-and-shift activity. VCS-283: Veritas NetBackup 9.1 and NetBackup Appliance 4.1 Administrator preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Manage cabling between the storage shelf and the appliance, ensuring proper power-up of both components.
  • Provide assistance in case of any hardware errors during the activity.
  • Rack and stack activities will be handled by the Data Centre management team.
