Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled NetBackup Engineer for a 1-year contract in Leeds, requiring a strong background in Veritas NetBackup administration and cloud backup technologies. The role is hybrid, with 2 days per week onsite at the client's office. Experience in the banking or financial services sector is preferred, along with expertise in automation and disaster recovery strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- NetBackup Administration: Expert-level knowledge of Veritas NetBackup for backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Appliance Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain NetBackup Flex and Access Appliances.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripts for backup tasks and system monitoring.
- Linux & Containerization: Manage Docker-based NetBackup instances and Linux environments.
- Networking & Storage: Troubleshoot storage configurations and connectivity issues.
- Security & Compliance: Implement RBAC, encryption, MFA, AD integration, and work with tools like CyberArk to maintain compliance and security.
- Cloud Backup Solutions: Integrate backup solutions with platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Virtualization Support: Use VMware or similar technologies for optimized backup solutions.
