Summary: The role of .NET/C# Developer involves designing, building, and scaling cloud-native solutions using Microsoft technologies, particularly in Azure. The position requires strong experience in C# and modern DevOps practices, with a focus on developing high-quality applications and implementing CI/CD pipelines. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust cloud-based systems and contribute to testing and infrastructure-as-code initiatives. This is a hybrid position based in Leeds, requiring occasional on-site presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing high-quality, maintainable, and scalable applications using C#/.NET (.NET 8).
- Building and deploying solutions in Microsoft Azure using services like App Services, Azure Functions, Key Vault, and Cosmos DB.
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar.
- Collaborating with architects, testers, and stakeholders to deliver robust, cloud-based systems.
- Writing and maintaining integration and end-to-end tests using Playwright.
- Working with SQL Server and other data storage technologies as part of Back End systems.
- Contributing to infrastructure-as-code using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Applying software engineering best practices including unit testing, code reviews, and agile methodologies.
- Working extensively with React 16+ (currently React 19 here) in cross-functional teams to support Front End/Back End integration.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET 8).
- Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure - PaaS services, Azure Functions, and containerised workloads.
- Proven experience with Playwright for end-to-end and integration testing.
- Proficiency in SQL Server and understanding of relational database design and queries.
- Hands-on experience with React (version 16 or later; ideally React 19).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices: CI/CD, version control (Git), and automated deployments.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes (nice to have).
- A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
