Summary: FDM is seeking a Junior C# .NET Developer to join their client's Commodities Technology team within the Banking sector on a hybrid 12-month contract based in London. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in software development, focusing on C# and .NET technologies, to develop and maintain software solutions for trading and risk management systems. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and the implementation of various technologies and methodologies to enhance application performance and deployment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of applications using C# and .NET technologies tailored for commodities trading.
  • Support the design and implementation of WCF and RESTful services for real-time data processing and integration.
  • Utilise parallel programming techniques, including multi-threading and TPL, to enhance application performance.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries and manage large datasets with relational databases.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and .NET Core applications for automation and system management.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build and release management.
  • Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns to create robust software solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.

Key Skills:

  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience with C# and .NET.
  • Good understanding of WCF and RESTful services.
  • Basic knowledge of parallel programming (multi-threading/TPL).
  • Basic SQL and RDBMS knowledge.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting, .NET Core, CI/CD, XML, and Python.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Development (OOP) and Design Patterns.
  • Good understanding of automated build and release management.
  • Experience in the commodities trading sector.
