Summary: The .NET Developer role involves leading client discussions to gather business requirements and providing technical support to resolve issues. The position requires developing both front-end and back-end systems using C# and .NET, while ensuring system security and integrity. Candidates should have significant programming experience and be familiar with Agile methodologies and DevOps environments. The role is based in Warrington, Cheshire, UK, and offers a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead discussions with clients to understand their business requirements and provide technical assistance to support teams to help resolve issues
- Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions
- Develop detailed technical requirements and low-level design documentation
- Implement both Front End and Back End systems, delivered through TDD/BDD, using a variety of programming languages and tools, such as C# and .NET, to meet client needs.
- Ensure the security, confidentiality and integrity of the systems being built.
- Configure Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines.
- Participate proactively as part of an Agile team, attending ceremonies and collaborating with colleagues to deliver complex features
Key Skills:
- Significant programming experience (6+ years) in C#/.NET.
- Excellent knowledge of frameworks such as .NET Core.
- Strong knowledge of working with RDBMS such as Oracle, MySQL or Postgres
- Excellent knowledge of object-oriented design patterns (GOF, OOAD) & design principles (SOLID, KISS)
- Proven track record of developing RESTful web services
- Preferably worked within multidisciplinary teams in an Agile and DevOps environment
- Experience of delivering in a Government Digital Service (GDS) environment
- Experience delivering within SAFe programmes
