.Net Developer/Dot Net Developer; Security cleared, Azure, Rest API

Summary: The role of .Net Developer requires a security-cleared professional with expertise in C# and modern .NET technologies, specifically within Microsoft Azure environments. The position involves designing, developing, and maintaining applications while collaborating with various stakeholders in an Agile setting. The contract is for three days per month in Taunton, offering a competitive daily rate. The role is classified as outside IR35, indicating a favorable tax status for contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using Microsoft Azure services.
  • Build high-quality, secure, and maintainable solutions using C# and modern .NET technologies.
  • Implement features and enhancements in accordance with functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Contribute to cloud-native solution development following established architectural patterns.
  • Participate in code reviews and implement feedback to maintain coding standards and best practices.
  • Utilize Git and GitHub-based workflows for source code management.
  • Leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity and code quality.
  • Collaborate with Lead Developers, Architects, Product Owners, Testers, and DevOps Engineers throughout the development life cycle.
  • Support development of automated unit tests.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across development, test, and production environments.
  • Maintain technical documentation within SharePoint, Wiki, Git, or other approved repositories.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations for continuous improvement of engineering practices and development processes.

Key Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with C# and modern .NET (.NET Framework/.NET Core/.NET).
  • Good experience developing applications on Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Azure PaaS services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, Service Bus, and Azure Key Vault.
  • Experience implementing REST APIs and service integrations.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience with Git-based source control workflows.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
  • Experience working with GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools.
