Summary: The Neighbourhood Manager role involves overseeing housing administration and management, providing advice on housing options, and coordinating tenant support services. The position requires collaboration with various agencies to resolve tenancy issues and manage properties effectively. The role is hybrid and initially for a duration of three months. Candidates should have relevant experience in the social housing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration and management of transfer applicants.
- Provide general advice on housing options such as mutual exchanges.
- Consult with the supported housing team regarding supported living schemes.
- Co-ordinate and conduct pre-allocation interviews with prospective tenants.
- Conduct settling in visits for new tenants.
- Prepare monitoring and performance reports as required.
- Maintain tenancy and property records.
- Manage the empty properties process from notice stage to re-letting.
- Undertake neighbourhood and internal communal area inspections regularly.
- Consult with agencies such as social services and tenancy support agencies.
- Manage older people’s accommodation in the allocated area.
- Address neighbour complaints and anti-social behaviour proactively.
- Arrange for the service of notices in appropriate cases.
Key Skills:
- Two years’ work experience in the social housing sector.
- Experience in housing management and/or community investment.
- HNC in Housing or equivalent qualification.
- Full driving licence and access to own car.
