Summary: The NDT & Coatings Inspector role in Cheshire involves providing independent inspection and quality control services for equipment in manufacturing, fabrication, and construction. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide independent inspection and quality control services relating to equipment in manufacture, fabrication, and construction.
- Provide detailed reports following inspections & quality control.
- Review fabrication/manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external customers.
Key Skills:
- CSWIP 3.1/3.2 and PCN Level 2 in Penetrant Testing (PT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT/MPI).
- Painting & Coating certification – BGAS, CIP, ICORR, NACE or similar.
- Experience within Nuclear or MOD highly advantageous.
- Sound understanding of Materials, Welding, and NDE techniques.
- Good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection in high hazard industries.
- Ability to work successfully in a team, providing guidance, support, and training.

NDT & Coatings Inspector – Cheshire £40 per hour (outside IR35) + site-based + rolling contract + immediate start
NDT & Coatings Inspector responsibilities include:
- Provide independent inspection and quality control services relating to equipment in manufacture, fabrication, and construction.
- Provide detailed reports following inspections & quality control.
- Equipment includes piping equipment and other mechanical items manufactured and installed to conventional codes, standards, and regulations.
- Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP’s fabrication / manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation, and review of LTQRs.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers.
NDT & Coatings Inspector profile:
- CSWIP 3.1/3.2 PCN Level 2 in Penetrant Testing (PT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT / MPI) or combination of other PCNs
- Painting & Coating certification – BGAS, CIP, ICORR, NACE or similar
- Experience within Nuclear or MOD highly advantageous
- Experience with Life-Time Quality Records (LTQRs)
- Sound understanding of Materials, Welding and NDE techniques
- Good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection in high hazard industries
- Ability to work successfully in a team, providing guidance, support and training as and when necessary.
