What you'll be doing
- Develop enterprise backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Design and build scalable microservices
- Develop RESTful APIs
- Drive backend architecture and technical design
- Optimise application performance and scalability
- Mentor and support other developers
- Lead code reviews and engineering best practice
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders
- Contribute to CI/CD and automated deployment
- Support production systems and continuous improvement
What we're looking for
- Strong commercial Java development experience
- Spring Boot and Microservices
- REST API development
- SQL and database design
- Oracle experience
- Unix or Linux
- JUnit and automated testing
- Git version control
- Kafka or RabbitMQ (desirable)
- AWS, Azure or GCP exposure (desirable)
- CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives
