Summary: Zenith People is seeking two Multi Skilled Maintenance Technicians for a six-month fixed-term role with a North-East based manufacturer. The primary focus is on the proactive maintenance and improvement of production equipment. Candidates should possess relevant qualifications and experience in a similar role, particularly with Electro-Pneumatic machinery. The position involves working a continental shift pattern with an average of 42 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults on production equipment
- Perform thorough maintenance as scheduled by the CMMS
- Work as part of the Production shift team communicating issues to other Technicians and Engineers
- Complete shift log, detailing all relevant information to ensure continuation and/or review of repair
- Assisting with the commissioning, development and improvement of production equipment
- Any other duties commensurate with the position as and when required
Key Skills:
- Time served & qualified to a minimum level of BTEC ONC
- Willingness to undergo training as identified through Engineers/Team Leaders
- At least two years recent post apprenticeship experience
- Experience in a similar role including a good knowledge of Electro-Pneumatic machinery which is PLC controlled
- Experience in FMCG, not heavy industry
- Capable of machining to <0.1mm tolerances on lathe/milling m/c
- Mechanical or Electrical bias but Multi skilled
- Good diagnostic/problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team and assist in prioritization where applicable
- Ability to perform when under pressure

Zenith People are excited to be working with our client who are an expanding North-East based Manufacturer and are recruiting for 2 Multi Skilled Maintenance Technicians on a 6 month fixed term basis.
The main purpose the role is to proactively maintain and improve production equipment across the plant.
Main duties include but are not limited to
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults on production equipment
- Perform thorough maintenance as scheduled by the CMMS
- Work as part of the Production shift team communicating issues to other Technicians and Engineers
- Complete shift log, detailing all relevant information to ensure continuation and/or review of repair.
- Assisting with the commissioning, development and improvement of production equipment

Candidate Profile
Time served & qualified to a minimum level of BTEC ONC is Essential
Be willing to undergo training as identified through Engineers/Team Leaders.
Help to develop and improve PPM’s

Hours of work
Continental Shift Pattern working 6am until 6pm and 6pm to 6am working 12 hour shifts on a 4 weekly rotation. Average working week is 42 hours per week with every other weekend off.
The position is working a continental shift pattern working a 4 weekly rotation with every other weekend off.
