Summary: The role of Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer involves providing high-quality engineering support in a leading food manufacturing company. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining various types of machinery, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The position requires strong electrical engineering skills and experience in the food manufacturing sector. The shift pattern is Monday to Saturday from 2pm to 10pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality engineering support to ensure continuous operation of plant and equipment
- Respond rapidly to breakdowns and carry out effective fault diagnosis for first-time fixes
- Maintain a variety of equipment including office, control, and factory machinery
- Identify and recommend improvements in line engineering processes
- Carry out autonomous and preventative maintenance tasks accurately
- Perform scheduled equipment inspections to prevent contamination risks
- Work with flow wrappers, gearboxes, pumps, and other key manufacturing machinery
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified with 18th Edition certification
- Proven electrical engineering experience in the food/FMCG sector
- Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and ability to read and work from electrical drawings
- Skilled in using both electrical and hand tools
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to perform routine testing and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
- Solid understanding of Food Safety and Hygiene policies
