Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM), testing, and reactive/breakdown repairs across the hospital estate, including clinical areas such as ITU, A&E, and Operating Theatres.
- Ensure all engineering services align with contractual obligations, industry best practice, and Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) standards.
- Manage individually assigned tasks via CAFM systems and digital management tools to meet strict site Performance KPIs and SLAs.
Key Skills:
- Electrical Qualifications: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and City & Guilds 2360/2330/2357 Level 3 or equivalent.
- Testing & Inspection: City & Guilds 2394 or 2395 Certification.
- Aptitude: Ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications without supervision and work effectively in distressing clinical environments.
- Desirable: HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Specialist Knowledge: Experience or AP/CP appointments in Medical Gas (MGPS), Ventilation (HTM-03), or HV/LV systems.

This role is essential for ensuring the hospital's mechanical and electrical services are maintained to the highest standards, directly supporting the delivery of critical NHS services.
Role Overview
Hourly Rate: £23.00 per hour.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 14:00 to 22:00 (with a 30-minute break).
Location: Selly Oak, Birmingham
