Multi skilled Builder

Summary: Our client in the defence and security sector is looking for a multi-skilled builder/carpenter on a contract basis. The role involves performing a variety of maintenance and minor works tasks across different building projects on-site. The successful candidate will work within a maintenance team, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out and complete PPM tasks and reactive breakdown works around site.
• Fabric repairs and basic facilities tasks with training, supporting other team members.
• Undertake various tasks including plant operations, excavation work, temporary works, roads and paving, concrete and reinforcement works, masonry repairs, and general maintenance.
• Perform general building carpentry maintenance tasks such as repairs or alterations to building structures, floors, ceilings, walls, and appurtenances, including timber repairs and replacement, painting, and installing equipment.
• Ensure work is carried out safely in line with the Company's health and safety processes and procedures, as well as HSE requirements.

• Proactive and enthusiastic work approach with good attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to articulate the status of processes confidently.
• Flexibility to work across various processes on the shop floor.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and site rules.
• Carpentry NVQ.
• Driving Licence.
• CPCS in relatable plant operations.
