Key Responsibilities:

  • Orchestrate collaboration among UI/UX designers, integration architects, and Managed File Transfer resources.
  • Translate business outcomes into solution requirements and epics; ensure traceability from requirements to delivered features.
  • Define integration patterns and data models.
  • Define error handling, retry, and failover mechanisms independent of integration tools.
  • Ensure API governance and life cycle management standards.
  • Build and maintain delivery roadmaps with clear milestones; monitor risks/issues and mitigation.
  • Provide client-facing updates, prepare steering materials, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Enable agile ceremonies and ensure Definition of Ready/Done is met.
  • Act as a key contributor and advocate of Java, integration experience, Microservice, and API Management frameworks.
  • Act as a bridge between business and technology teams for clarity and alignment.

Key Skills:

  • Over 15 years of hands-on experience in solution consulting/architecture or senior business systems analysis.
  • Good communicator and collaborator with customers.
  • Experience working with GDS, UCD standards, and compliance for the UK public sector.
  • Understanding of full Integrated Architecture and ability to drive agenda and meetings with clients.
  • Able to provide effort estimation with minimal deviation.
  • Proven track record coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of Java, microservices, integration tools, API-led connectivity, REST, OAS/RAML, and security standards.

Work Location: Telford, UK

Frequency: once or twice per week.

Required skills and responsibilities:

Orchestrate collaboration among UI/UX designers, integration architect/s, and Managed File Transfer resources, unblock dependencies and manage stakeholder expectations.
Translate business outcomes into solution requirements and epics; ensure traceability from requirements to delivered features.
Define integration patterns (API led, event driven, batch/ETL) and data models (canonical schemas, mapping, transformation rules).
Define error handling, retry, and failover mechanisms independent of integration tools.
Ensure API governance and life cycle management standards (versioning, security, documentation)
Build and maintain delivery roadmaps with clear milestones; monitor risks/issues and mitigation.
Provide client facing updates, prepare steering materials, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
Enable agile ceremonies (PI planning, backlog refinement) and ensure Definition of Ready/Done is met.
Being a key contributor and advocate of Java, integration experience, Microservice, API Management frameworks in projects and programs
Act as a bridge between business and technology teams for clarity and alignment.

Over 15 years hands on experience in solution consulting/architecture or senior business systems analysis within large scale public sector or regulated environments.
