Summary: The Mulesoft Development Lead is responsible for architecting and implementing scalable integration solutions across enterprise platforms. This role requires a strong background in MuleSoft, including leading a team of developers and collaborating with various stakeholders. The position is contract-based and hybrid, requiring presence in Reading three days a week. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, along with extensive experience in integration technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end MuleSoft integration lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Design and implement APIs and integrations using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Guide and mentor a team of developers; conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to define integration requirements.
- Define and enforce integration standards, policies, and security models.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Manage deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and version control of integration code.
- Stay updated with MuleSoft platform enhancements and industry trends.
Key Skills:
- 6+ years of experience in Mulesoft.
- MuleSoft Certified Developer and/or Architect certifications highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of REST, SOAP, RAML, and API design principles.
- Experience with enterprise integration patterns (EIP), message queues (JMS, Kafka), and data transformation.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Maven) and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- Consulting background is a plus.
- Strong communication skills (oral & written).
- Rights to work in the UK is must (No Sponsorship available).
