Summary: The MS365 Migration Engineer/Architect will lead the migration of 12 office tenants, including data, emails, and MS Teams, from Tenant A to Tenant B for a well-established Accountancy Firm in Birmingham. The role encompasses SaaS integration, Azure remote desktop setup, and ensuring data security throughout the migration process. The engineer will also provide technical support, document procedures, and participate in planning meetings. This position is a 5-month contract with a requirement for on-site work two days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete the migration of business data and applications to the Azure platform.
- Coordinate with various teams to ensure the accuracy of migrated data.
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the migration process.
- Document procedures and outcomes of migration projects.
- Implement data security and protection measures during migration.
- Participate in planning and strategy meetings.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of migration best practices and technologies.
Key Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft 365: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams.
- Proficiency in Azure: Azure Entra ID, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Storage, Azure Networking.
- Knowledge of SaaS applications and integration.
- Familiarity with migration tools: Azure Migrate, ShareGate, BitTitan MigrationWiz.
- Understanding of security tools: Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Azure Security Center.
- Project management skills using tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
