Summary: This role seeks an outside IR35 contract Microsoft Fabric Implementation Specialist/Data Architect/Azure Cloud Engineer to facilitate the transition of public sector clients from Synapse Analytics to Microsoft Fabric. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating and implementing Microsoft Fabric within the Azure environment, reporting directly to the project lead. Key responsibilities include managing Azure tenant design, data processes, and stakeholder communications. The position offers flexible hybrid working arrangements after initial on-site integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage Azure tenant including networking, security, and identity management with Entra.
- Handle capacity setups, monitoring, and cost management effectively.
- Onboard source systems and integrate API and file-based data flows.
- Manage both batch and streaming data processes.
- Work closely with networking elements such as data gateways, private links, and VPNs.
- Collaborate with third-party partners and internal teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Facilitate on-site knowledge transfer and manage stakeholder communications effectively.
Key Skills:
- Proven expertise in Azure Cloud Engineering, data architecture, and Microsoft Fabric implementation.
- Strong experience in handling Azure tenant design, networking, security, and identity management.
- Proficient in API and file integrations, as well as managing batch and streaming data.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate technical concepts in simple terms.
- Public sector experience is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
